Rhönrad-WM 2026 in Göttingen
Am Dienstag, den 30.06.2026, um 20 Uhr findet in der Sparkassen-Arena in Göttingen die offizielle Eröffnungsshow statt, mit der die Rhönrad Weltmeisterschaft 2026 feierlich startet. Bei freiem Eintritt laden die Gastgeberstadt Göttingen und wir als ASC zu einem spektakulären Abendprogramm ein.
In einer rund 60- bis 90-minütigen Show wird ein Abend gestaltet, der die Energie des Sports, die Vielfalt der Nationen und die Leidenschaft der Athlet:innen zusammenbringt und den Beginn einer unvergesslichen Woche markiert.
Emotionaler Höhepunkt ist der Einlauf der Nationen, bei dem alle teilnehmenden Länder gemeinsam in die Halle einziehen. Ein Moment der internationalen Verbundenheit und der Augenblick, in dem Göttingen zur Weltbühne des Rhönradsports wird.
Im Anschluss erwartet das Publikum ein mitreißendes Showprogramm aus Turnen, Akrobatik und Bewegungskunst. Mit dabei sind BMX-Weltrekordhalter Chris Böhm, die Rhönradabteilung und die Rhythmische Sportgymnastik des ASC Göttingen, die ASC Modern Dance Tanzgruppe Im.puls sowie die ASC Standardformation. Ein Ausschnitt aus dem „Feuerwerk der Turnkunst“ am Schwebebalken setzt einen besonderen künstlerischen Akzent.
Musikalisch begleitet wird der Abend von der Band Jazztified. Das gemeinsame Finale vereint schließlich alle Beteiligten auf der Fläche und eröffnet die Weltmeisterschaft feierlich. Die Gastgeberstadt Göttingen und wir als ASC freuen uns darauf, eine atemberaubende Eröffnungsshow und den Auftakt zu einem internationalen Sportereignis von besonderer Bedeutung zu erleben.

Wheel Gymnastics World Championships 2026 in Göttingen
Official Opening Show on June 30
On Tuesday, June 30, at 8:00 PM, the official Opening Show will take place at the Sparkassen-Arena in Göttingen, ceremonially marking the start of the 2026 Wheel Gymnastics World Championships. With free admission, the host city of Göttingen and ASC Göttingen invite everyone to enjoy a spectacular evening program.
Over the course of approximately 60 to 90 minutes, the show will celebrate the energy of sport, the diversity of nations, and the passion of the athletes, marking the beginning of a week to remember. A true emotional highlight is the Parade of Nations, when all participating countries enter the arena together. A moment full of international connection - and the moment when Göttingen becomes the world stage of wheel gymnastics.
The audience can look forward to a thrilling show programme combining gymnastics, acrobatics, and movement arts. Featured performances include BMX world record holder Chris Böhm, the wheel gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics teams of ASC Göttingen, the ASC Modern Dance group Im.puls, and the ASC Standard Formation. A segment from “Feuerwerk der Turnkunst” on the balance beam adds a special artistic highlight.
The evening will be accompanied by live music from the band Jazztified. The grand finale brings all performers together on the floor to officially open the world championships. The host city of Göttingen and all of us at ASC Göttingen are looking forward to an unforgettable Opening Show and the start of an international sporting event of exceptional significance.
